This tour has the two best attractions, the Macaw Collpa and the world’s largest known Tappa Collpa, where on comfortable mattresses with mosquito nets you can see the largest mammal in South America visiting this Collpa.

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport of Cusco- Boca Manu:

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, to take you to the airport for a 35min flight. In a small plane to the jungle, in Boca manu will be waiting for our guide with the rest of the group. Then they will sail down the river in our boat for two and a half hours until we reach our shelter which is located on the banks of the Alto Madre de Dios River.
In boat trip, you will be able to see the river banks many species of birds such as, lizards, herons, cormorants, spatula beaks, ducks, geese, buzzards and ospreys. We will arrive at the hostel for lunch. In the afternoon we will explore one of the trails which will lead us to a viewpoint that is on the banks of the river in a high part, from where we can appreciate the beautiful landscape that nature offers us and maybe we can see some groups of monkeys.
Tonight those who wish can have a night walk together with the guide, having the possibility to see the night inhabitants of the jungle.

Day 2: Boca Manu – Guacamayos Collpa – Cocha Blanco:

Very early we will visit the Guacamayos Collpa, which is considered a true wild spectacle, the arrival of hundreds of parrots and their large family, the macaws gather in this traditional place to extract the mineral salts which is essential for their digestion. From a well built and located platform we will observe these birds wide, after seeing this colorful spectacle we will leave the hiding place to go to the cocha or lake Blanco, where we will sail in a catamaran looked for a family of river Wolves or giant otters that Live around in addition to that we will see many species of birds and mammals which abound in this place. After lunch, we will explore one of the trails where we will see some species of bowling monkeys such as emperor tamarins and tamarins with spotted backs. There is also the possibility of seeing the rare golden monkey of Goeldi’s which is seen very frequently in this area.

Day 3: Cocha Blanco all day:

We will explore all day the trails of the hostel, having the possibility of seeing handsome monkeys which are very rarely seen on land, groups of jumpers doing Desplayes, following the path to the mammalian Collpa where turkeys, parrots, parakeets, black spider monkeys Are frequent visitors of the place, who need to eat the clay which helps them to neutralize the toxins they consumed days before, we will be all day in this place, at dusk we will be able to see the largest mammal of South America which is also a Frequent visitor of the place, in total we will be able to see until 12 species of mammals in this Collpa in addition to other nocturnal creatures.
We stay until about midnight in this hideaway and then return to the lodge.

Day 4: White – Boca Manu – Cusco:

After breakfast we will sail upstream for two hours or so until we reach the small airport of Boca Manu. Very early in the morning many species of birds are usually mobilized in large groups that we will see pass from the boat, also on the way we can see the largest rodent in the world. Once in the airport, we will go to Cusco whose flight lasts about 35min. For that we will cross the Andes and the ancient capital of the Incas.
Some of the staff will be waiting for you at the cusco airport to transfer you to your hotel from where our services end.
