4 Days / 3 Nights Cusco – Lares – Wacawasi – Laguna de Ipsaycocha – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo
Day 1: Cusco – Lares Hot Springs – Huacawasi
At morning we start with the daylight pick up at your hotel at 06:00 am, drive by private car to Lares hot spring, during the car drive there we will stop the in calca town the last chance to shop the some basic equipment and snack, as well good place to have hot drink… Following the trip straight to lares town where we will switch the swimming wear and have free time and lunch.
After have a nap are climbing up following the narrow trail crossing the small hut and farmers houses by 4 hours, there are school children smile to the trekkers, let´s remember boys and girls no have all the school tool part of the trek is bring some help for them, (pencil, pen, eraser, notebook, etc), before the sunset we will sit down the tents on ground Huacawasi Village (3800 masl) where is start windy and coldest night (-5°c).
Day 2: Huacawasi – Marcacocha base camp
Second day to wake up bottom the snowcapped mountains, and llamas walking around the camp ground, there are green landscape, waterfall noise property to have Andean breakfast, on this day along the way stopping to get into the native family house, to see the colorful dresses some histories to share with them.
The ascent to Uchuyccasa Pass are take 4 hours switch back crossing the quarry of granite rock, along the climbing to pointing the down lares valley with the traditional communities (Huacawasi) on the back ground the majestic Apus, get the top is long dreamed to appreciate the boht side view (the sacred valley and Lares Valley) bottom of that the colorful lakes chance the panoramic and announced the entrance the real Andes where no live facilities (electricity, water boil) the flat and descent to our base camp are 5 hours, along that is stopping to have lunch close the llamas and alpacas, as well some native hut and families there are the highest place for lunch and luxury by the views, the end the downhill is our base camp on the mainly inca remain Marcacocha (3400 masl).
Day 3: Marcacocha – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
One day stand up into the incas valleys with the magnificent of the houses and farming terraces. Some feels like Inca’s breakfast!!! After hike at 7 am crossing the modern village and following the inca trail to Ollantaytambo and Machupicchu, 3 hours up to first inca site is called Pumamarca (inka fortress) were a refuge of the last habitant of the valley before they collapse, during the day clear to see the inca’s building part of that mixed with the older culture, 1 hour exploring the neighborhood and barracks on the archeological site, 3 hours continued by inca chanal supply water to inca farming areas in Ollanataytambo.
On afternoon catch the train to Aguas Calientes (12:58 pm) where we have accommodation in the hostal and dinner.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
The ancient day on the trek is start as early possible to go up by bus or walk, on the clear sky days is able to see the sunrise even when is cloudy is mysteries and majestic, explore with the guide 2 hours after that explore by yourself or to do extra hike surround the city, chance to climbing to huayna picchu and Machupicchu mountains you need book a ticket for those last ones, on the afternoon back down to Aguas Calientes to return by train until Ollantaytambo (18:45 pm) and transport by car to cusco arrive hotel (11:00 pm aproxm).
